Chaz’men Williams-Ali
American tenor, Chaz’men Williams-Ali’s recent highlights include his German debut as principal tenor at Theater & Orchester Heidelberg as Pinkerton Madama Butterfly and Florestan Fidelio followed by his Season 2020/21 role debut as Canio Pagliacci. This season he joins the Metropolitan Opera for the role of Spinner (c) Fire Shut up in my bones, a role he inaugurated in the original production at Opera Theater of St Louis in a previous season, and sings the role of Zorn Die Meistersinger before returning to Heidelberg for I Capuleti e i Montecchi and the role of Tebaldo.
The artist made an international debut when he joined English National Opera for the roles of Robbins and The Crab Man Porgy & Bess in their new co-production with The Metropolitan Opera and Dutch National Opera; following the London performances, he travelled to Amsterdam to appear in the roles.
