Tal Ganor

Soprano

Based in Tel Aviv at Israeli Opera, soprano Tal Ganor’s recent highlights include the role of Amor in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, Papagena in Barrie Kosky’s Die Zauberflöte, Cherubino in a new production of Le Nozze di Figaro by David Pountney, Zerlina in Kasper Holten’s Don Giovanni,Dalinda in David McVicar’s Ariodante, Almirena Rinaldo and a staged Mozart Requiem. Last season, she covered the role of Dorinda Orlando at Teatro Real Madrid, and her debut in Spain took place when she unexpectedly went on for an ailing colleague and gave a performance that was met with great acclaim.

 

Past appearances at Israeli Opera include Monica The Medium, Dorinda Orlando, Belinda Dido & Aeneas, Tebaldo and Voce dal Cielo Don Carlo, and Pamina in a new family production of The Magic Flute in Hebrew. The artist sang Drusilla and Amore L’Incoronazione di Poppea at the Festival della Valle d’Itria in Martina Franca; Cephisa and Ismene Orpheus (Tellmann) at Zucker Hall; Adina L’elisir d’amore with Opera in Williamsburg, and Despina Così fan tutte at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music. Other roles include Tamiri Il Re Pastore and Morgana Alcina.
